A dynamic dance show from Brighton based The Hiccup Project, I created a re-light design and rig for a one off performance at The Centre, Newlyn.

It’s amazing how much action and physicality you can fit into 60 minutes! Yet that’s exactly what Chess and Cristina did, smashing through the fourth wall and addressing their audience throughout, including serving them drinks!

The piece called for a mixture of open washes, some naturalistic, some bold and colourful as well as several time critical specials. Little time to learn the cue sheet, and the knowledge that being even half a second out with my cues would be noticed by all, resulted in a very rewarding evening when everything went perfectly!

A full lighting rig, sound equipment and vinyl dance floor was sourced from several suppliers, transported and returned, as part of a complete package that was set up in time for the company’s arrival.
