Second Tasting

Having had a successful Premiere of the show at The Tolmen Centre, we then took it straight to The Barbican, Plymouth (a lovely venue with a great team), Bodmin College (an interesting newlyish built venue with a solid, blue sparkly floor…) and Grampound Community Hall (a favorite on the Cornish touring circuit not least because of the amazing Simon who will do everything he can to help out.)

During the week I learnt how to put underlay (àndele, àndele) underneath a dance floor to give it a little bit of padding…
I also learnt to run the sound for the show. Up until this point I had been concentrating on the lighting (it didn’t help that I’d only run the show once ever before the premiere!) It had been programmed on cue lab, at a level slightly higher than my own ability with the program. (individual track levels and adjusted fade curves!) It went quite successfully and the show at Exeter Phoenix Theatre was great with a very powerful system!

Up next (later today!) is Bridport Arts Centre followed by the Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis on Saturday. Bring it on!
